Poetry Workshop at Haven, Avondale
POETRY WORKSHOP supported by I Love Avondale and Manawaka Ao
Adults (18+) are warmly invited to join Danielle Kionasina for a morning of talanoa, creativity and cultural connection. If you are interested in developing your writing skills within a supportive community of creatives, this workshop is for you.
On the day, you will be guided through the healing process of gathering upu (words) that represent your relationship with the moana. With awhi from writer, poet, journalist, artist and kaiako Danielle Kionasina, you will gain confidence in your writing ability and the value of your voice. You will leave with a unique piece of poetry and a deeper understanding of literary devices such as rhyme and metaphor.
Learners of all ability levels are welcome. Wherever you are on your writing journey, you are encouraged to utilise this nourishing space.

Moana Creative Business Network Inaugural Event
The inaugural MCBN event will take place at APRA AMCOS on Thursday the 9th of May from 7pm-9pm! You are warmly invited to connect with an inspiring group of Pasifika and Māori creatives and entrepreneurs. Our evening will be focused on uplifting talanoa and informal, collaborative activities. Light refreshments will be provided.
